Notes and Observations Around the Big

It is no surprise that the top four seeds entering the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship are the final four teams vying for the title.

The first-day bye aided these teams, such are the rewards for earning the bye in the first place.

There were two upsets along the way, with No. 12 BYU upsetting No. 5 Arizona State to open the day, and No. 11 Houston upsetting No. 6 Kansas State to close out the day.
