The 2023 MLB Draft: The Top 50 College Players 2.0

With the calendar having turned to May last week, we are exactly two months away from the 2023 draft. Suffice to say, a lot has changed in the college baseball landscape since we published our Preseason Top 50 just prior to Opening Day. But one thing that has remained the same is the high quality of the Class of ’23—this is shaping up to be the best college crop in over a decade with ultra-high ceiling players at the top as well as ample depth.

With the draft rapidly approaching, here’s how we’ll shape our draft coverage at CBN: In about a week, we’ll complement this list with an in-depth look at the process behind creating the Top 50—we’ll take a closer look at the top of the rankings as well as dissect some of the biggest risers and fallers. Then in late May, we’ll release our first mock draft, which will be followed by two more mocks, including our now famous narrative mock. We’ll also keep you up-to-date with fast-breaking draft-related news. For additional insight, feel free to follow me on Twitter at @H_Frommer.
